1. About these terms
These terms apply to leak detection and trace & access services provided by Leapfrog Leak Detection. By booking a survey you agree to them. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Quotes & pricing
We confirm pricing before any visit. Domestic surveys are charged from a stated minimum visit fee; pools, external mains and complex jobs are quoted bespoke. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
3. Booking & access
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and the relevant systems. If we cannot gain access at the agreed time, an abortive-visit charge may apply.
4. The survey & its limits
We use non-destructive methods to locate leaks as accurately as is reasonably possible. While our methods are highly reliable, no detection method can be guaranteed to find every leak in every circumstance — for example where multiple leaks, unusual construction or restricted access are involved. We will always tell you honestly what we have and have not been able to determine.
5. Reports
Where a report is included, it is provided for your use and that of your insurer or appointed professionals. Reports are based on the conditions observed on the day of the survey.
6. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless other terms have been agreed in writing, for example with account-holding insurers or agents. We accept bank transfer and card payment.
7. Liability
We carry £5m public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided, except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. We are not responsible for the cost of repairs, which are carried out by others.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel or rearrange a booking by giving us reasonable notice. Cancellations at very short notice, or abortive visits, may incur a charge to cover the reserved time.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
