Trace and access
Our trace and access services encompass a multitude of methods to locate (trace) your leak. We then will carry out the required works to access your leak. Whilst most home insurance policies cover trace and access costs of £5000 and above, it is worth checking your home insurance policy to check your level of cover for this service. Leapfrog will supply a comprehensive trace and access report complete with all the required information to assist you in your insurance claim.
Acoustic microphone
Used to identify which pipe is leaking and the location of the leak.
Gas tracing
Using top of the range equipment we introduce a safe level of inert gas into pipes that may be leaking and then use a sensor to locate where the gas is escaping.
Endoscopic camera leak detection
Used for locating leaks in hard to access areas such as cavities in walls and under floor boards without the need for extensive and disruptive access works.
Thermal imaging leak detection
Used to locate leaks without the need for intrusive works. The thermal imagining camera detects heat patterns. Using expert knowledge our engineers can identify patterns that are consistent with a leak.
Moisture meters
Damp although sometimes obvious, can remain undetected by the naked eye. Using a moister meter our engineers can find sources of damp that would otherwise remain hidden.
Pressure testing
Pressuring testing is used to determine if a pipework leak is present. If the system pressure is dropping then a leak is present. Further pressure testing and methodical isolation of the system can help to identify and discount areas of interest that require further investigation.
Pipe repair
Our fully qualified technicians can, if required carry out a pipe repairs to rectify your leak.
